With everything costing more these days, it’s easy to wonder:
“Are we about to see a big foreclosure meltdown like 2008?”
Spoiler alert: We’re not.
Here’s why:
✅ While foreclosure filings have crept up a little, we’re still light-years away from the crisis levels we saw back in 2008.
✅Today’s homeowners aren’t stuck like they were back then. Most have built up a ton of equity — and that changes everything.
Equity = options.
If a homeowner hits a rough patch now, they’re in a much better position to sell, refinance, or work out a solution before foreclosure even becomes a thing.
So no, the sky isn’t falling — and the housing market is holding strong.
